Haley Pictures!

Happy New Year! The other guy is her hubby... a great guy by all standards.

Happy New Years Eve!

Today is New Years Eve!

And today I'm not going to do anything! Yes! Yes indeed!

Well that's not exactly true. I am going out to dinner today with the family at a restaurant. It's somewhat of a New Years Eve tradition. I'll probably have a steak. We are leaving in about an hour to go, so right now I am just going to sit by the fire and watch whatever is on TV. And type in here also.

After dinner... I'm not exactly sure what I am going to do. More than likely I will probably just come home and relax, watch ABC or something. But... I might just go out to the movies and see "The Producers." That's the old Mel Brooks movies they took to Broadway and then made the Broadway show into a movie. But that all depends on the weather. They are calling for some snow tonight... not alot... just a coating.

Later tonight, probably before midnight, I plan to post pictures of Haley, Albert, and her tummy. Maybe I'll do it sooner than later... depends on how distracted I get.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Haley!

So Haley, Albert, and her baby to be in her belly visited me yesterday! Woo hoo! It was great. She looked great and Albert was awesome as always. I took a few pictures of them with me. I'll more than likely post them later. I just don't feel like downloading them right now. She stopped by for an hour or so and we talked for the entire time. Apparently she is due in April. The 2nd to be exact. I can't wait to see them again in June.

Tonight I'll probably be going out. Visiting with a friend.

Tomorrow.... hmm... perhaps a movie.

Fun Time On Tuesday

As you may have noticed, I didn't post yesterday. Why? Cause yesterday I was hung....over. Big time. But it was a great time. We went to the Abbye on 3rd and Fairmount in Philadelphia. Our shindig was suppose to start at 8 p.m., but like always, just about everyone showed up at 9 p.m. Here are some pictures.... as you can tell... it was a somewhat wild time.

So I had alot of to drink and I had a headache the next morning. But it was a really good time. It was a good way to end the year with the N Crowd. And it gets us ready for a good show coming next week. I'll talk more about that show then....

Tonight I am seeing Haley! I haven't seen her in... like... quite awhile. Since June. And I get to see her belly! Woo hooo! I hope things work out so I can see her. It doesn't always work out sometimes... things sometimes get all messed around and our paths don't cross... but as this will be the last time we see each other for another 6 months, I think she will see us.

Well that's about it for me. I'm going to be working on a few things on the N Crowd website.... you should check it out! All zero people who read this.

Partay!

Nothing really all that exciting going on today. Pretty much just woke up and played some Guild Wars. Woo hoo! It is a fun time.

Tonight I am heading into Philly to have an N Crowd Holiday Party at a bar. I'm guessing that everyone is going to be there tonight, so it should be a good, grand old time! More than likely I will be in a non-driving state tonight. It will be great! And then, next week... It'll be our first show at Society Hill Playhouse. I'm pretty excited about that. I haven't done a full 90 minute Improv show in more than a month.

X-mas Time Is Here!

I had a very good X-mas. I got everything I asked for and have been having a great time playing with them. By far the most addicting game I got was Guild Wars. I decided to be a Ranger Monk. It's pretty awesome.

Thus far I am a Level 8.

Other than that it has been pretty quiet. At the moment, I am planning on seeing Haley on Wednesday. Hopefully everything works out and I can see her. I'll be sure to take a picture of her belly. I talked to her briefly today... she sounds great. As always.

Tomorrow is going to be a fun day because tomorrow is a big N Crowd X-mas party at a bar. I'll try to bring my camera to capture these moments.... but I've got to get some rechargeable batteries.

Well that's about it for me... I'm going to go back and play some guild wars. Heh.

Merry X-mas!

X-mas Eve

Although there is not a raging fire, this is a very lovely X-mas Eve. There isn't a fire because it's pushing 50 outside. Heh. I wish it was snowing, but I'll take today as it is nevertheless!

Right now I am sitting on the couch playing Texas Hold'em at Party Poker.net. I hope I win. And on TV is Anchorman. By this time tomorrow I will be neck deep in Guild Wars killing stuff.

Woo hoo for X-mas!

Plus later tonight I am going to release the end of the year N Crowd video.

Hope everyone has a good X-mas eve!

Last Day of School

Surprisingly, I worked today. The teacher was sick at the last minute and they called me. It was a VERY easy today. The morning consisted of a movie, some worksheets, and lunch. The afternoon was some more worksheets, stories, library, and a holiday sing-a-long. I was actually surprised that there was so much X-mas stuff in the school. I guess there aren't a lot of Jews or Mulisms in the district. Heh.

Other than that, it was a very ho hum day.

I bought a laser mouse for my lap top so I can play my game on Sunday with ease.

Only 1 more day until X-mas!

Early Start?

So it's the last day before X-mas break, and I've been called to go in and sub. Now, I don't exactly remember what grade she teaches, but... I can't see how I'll be doing much today.

Heh.

Probably just a big ole X-mas part-tay!

Woo hoo! Coookies!

King Kong Christmas

King Kong

Last night Chester and I went to see King Kong. Despite being a 3 hour epic, it was pretty decent. I actually enjoyed it. Jack Black is really a big douche bag in the movie. The King Kong fight scenes with the dinosaurs were very good. The love story between beast and beauty wasn't to outrageous. There was no Kong/Watts sex scene. Heh. There was a lot of good acting in the movie and it was worth the $9.25 admission.

Teaching Today

Blah. I was the computer teacher. But we didn't do anything with computers. I had to show a movie, which wasn't all that bad for the kids, but I had to listen to the same 40 minute movie 6 times today. The 7th and 6th graders weren't to bad, but the 8th graders were a huge pain in the ass. They are so mouthy and THINK they are funny. I know funny. That's why I do improv. They are not funny. What was funny were my put downs on them.

Heh. Now that was funny.

Mmmm... Haircut

Today I didn't work because my grandmother is coming in and Mom wanted someone to be here when she got here. Jer would, but like the procastinator he is, he hasn't dont any X-mas shopping as of yet and therefore.... needs to go and do that today.

I'm expecting her sometime after 2 p.m. So in the mean time, I figured I would write an entry.

Yesterday

I worked yesterday and it was a bit of a challenge. I worked in a learning support classroom. Most of the kids were great and most of them remembered me from the year before. But there was one student there who is just a complete mess. Basically he doesn't care about his education or anything else in life. All he wants to do is make jokes and fool around. And he's not even in Middle School yet. From what I heard, he usually does stuff to get himself kicked out of the room.

So.... I didn't kick him out of the room, rather I just kept giving him work to do. He got mouthy to the aides in the room, which I let go because they need to know how to reel him in. However when he got mouthy to me and refused to sit down, I ripped into him that caused him to sit down and shut up for about 30 minutes. So that was fun.

Improv

Last night's improv rehearsal was lots of fun. It was our last rehearsal for the year. Next week we are having our X-mas type party. (Which I am so so looking forward too.) I'm certainly blessed to be perform with them and I am certainly looking forward to this next year with them. It be great if I won the lottery so I could devote more time to the show. Heh. But that's not to likely to happen.

Today & Tonight

So tonight I might have a hot date, but it sounds like it's not going to happen. Not of any fault of mine or her, just things may not work out tonight. I will more than likely get to hang out with her next week. Assuming I can be pried away from Guild Wars. Heh. I'm looking forward to hanging out with this girl that shall remained unnamed, as she is pretty awesome and very hot. In fact... I even got a haircut so that I'd look half way decent for her.

Well that's bout it from my end of the world. Perhaps I shall write more later. And perhaps I shall not. We shall see....

Happy Winter Soltice Everyone!

Happy Winter!!!!!

As this is being posted.

It is Offically Winter!

Monday Night Studying!

As I type this, I am at my friend Chester's penthouse apartment. He actually has a really sweet apartment. If I ever win the lottery, I'm going to move into here. It's quiet, somewhat out of the way, roomy, and right in the middle of Pottstown. But as I am not going to win the lottery any time soon and I doubt he'll be moving out of here within that time, I'll just have to dream.

I am here tonight because I am helping him study. Being a wiz at he computer, Chester is going to be taking some online courses to get his Masters in several areas of computing. And as I graduated Sumo Cumming Loudly at Edinboro, I was more than happy to lend him my study skills. Basically I'm just hear so that he won't get distracted. Which is pretty easy to do since that is what I do when I sub.

Guild Wars

I've decided what character I will play as. I am going to be a Ranger/Monk. Long distance damage with healing abilities. It'll be pretty sweet. I dont' know how, but maybe I'll be able to get a screen capture of my character and paste it into the blog. Probably the geekiest I will ever be, but this game is just so awesome.... I can't help myself.

Hey You!

If you read this. Then leave a comment why don't ya?

Done!

My X-mas shopping is done and sent out the last X-mas card today!

Whew.

Last night was fun with my brother. And the Undertaker won his Hell In A Cell match.

Still waiting to play Guild Wards.

hmph.

Got a card from a certain someone who said she liked my card in her blog.

Now on to lunch.

For A Good Cause

Last Night's Show

So last night's show for the Vagabond Acting Troupe went fairly well. We did a solid 30 minutes of improv and we got good reviews from everyone in the crowd. They didn't laugh too much, but they were also drinking and eating while they were watching which doesn't' really lead to much in the way of response. There were some aspects of the show I think we can improve on, and hopefully I'll be able to address them with Ray, the director before we have our first show on January 5th at the Society Hill Playhouse

X-mas Cards

Last Monday I sent out all of my X-mas cards, minus a few that I forgot to send and one that fell under the couch while I was sealing them. I sent out the last few yesterday and hopefully by X-mas everyone should have their X-mas cards. Maybe next year I try sending them out so that they arrive on X-mas Eve. That would be pretty awesome.

Armageddon!

No, it isn't the end of the world. Rather, it's the WWE's pay per view. The card itself doesn't look all that great, but I want to see the Undertaker in action. He is my favorite wrestler of all time, so I always enjoy his match. He is going to face Randy Orton in a HELL IN A CELL match. It should be rather awesome. I go to the Stadium Grill in West Chester to watch the PPV's. I usually meet Ray there as it is about half way between my house and his apartment. It's a good general place to go. Perhaps tonight my brother will come with us. Although I'll probably have to explain all of the storyline stuff to him. I wish I had a refresher sheet or something he could read. Heh.

This Week

Well most of my X-mas shopping is done. I only have to shop for Mom and I know where I am going to get her things. On Monday and probably Wednesday I am going to help my friend Chester study for his exams he is taking in April. Since I got good grades in college, he wants me to help him get some good study habits down. Since he's a good pal and my movie buddy, I was only to happy to say sure. Plus he's got a some wireless internet over there, so I'm going to be probably typing away in a blog while he is studying. Should be fun.

Movies I Wana See

More than likely for X-mas, I'll be betting a pack of movie passes. These are the movies I plan to see:

Well that's about it from my corner of the world. Hope all of you have a good last week before X-mas.

Tonight's Plans

Tonight is the fundraiser at the Vagabond Fundraiser. Hopefully we'll pick up a few more people on our mailing list. I already know that we'll have a good show. We always have a good show. I'm pretty confident that our 30 minute sets are very sharp now. This will be our final show of the year until we go to the Society Hill Playhouse in January.

In other N Crowd news.... Natalie, is going to get us a gig at her father's bar. It should be exciting! We've never done a show outside of Philadelphia, but I wouldn't mind driving an extra 20 minute to go to New Jersey to do one. Natalie has earned herself some cookie points in my book!

End Of The Week

Schooling Today

Today I subbed in another 5th grade. It wasn't so bad, although I again had my share of attitude. I was in a different school district today then I was earlier this week. This school district has students who are a bit more... bold in what they think they can get away with. Once again they were sorely mistaken. While I didn't send anyone to the office today I did toss 3 students into the hallway because I was tired of being argued with. It was actually kind of funny. There were "Important" people out and about in the school today and one of them walked in just as I was chewing a student out and tossing him out of the room. He knew the student and had actually taught me when I was in school, so we shared a good laugh. It was good to see him.

Other than that it was a pretty nice day. Once again most of the girls were very good for me. I think it's because I'm a dude and they want to impress me. It's nice only having to worry about the boys misbehaving.

Yep Another Improv Update

Tonight some of us improv guys were planning on going to bowling. But the place were going bowling was closed. Oh well. Perhaps next month.

Tomorrow The N Crowd is performing at the Vagabond Acting Troupes Fundraiser. We're doing a 30 minute set. I'm hoping that we'll get a bunch of new people on our "Mailing List" so that they can come and see our show in January. There are going to be other entertainers there as well. I'm not sure who is performing or when we are performing, but it'll be fun!

Haley's Comments!

I heard from one of my best friends today! I haven't heard from her in about 3 months. She's somewhat pregnant and I've been really eager to hear what she has been up too. Being newly married, a kid on the way, and working I know she's been busy. So I don't hold all to much against her, although truth be told I was sad from not hearing from her. I mean, how many best friends do you have? Not many. And she is like a sister to me, so I was a bit sad not to hear from her.

But now I am not! Because A: I heard from her and B: She'll be coming to visit the area for X-mas. So I'm a pretty happy redhead right now. I can't wait to see here. Our friendship is pretty much defined by distance and time spent not seeing each other, but I'm always eager to see her again.

Guild Wars

This is a game I am looking forward to. It's basically an online RPG with lots of storyline and player versus player elements. Actually I played Guild Wars in a beta mode last winter and really liked it. Then I kind of forgot about it and recently stumbled onto it again. And... I decided to get it for X-mas. Overall, there are six professions you can choose from. You can be a :

Each one has their pros and cons. I think I'll probably select the Ranger. That pretty much sums me up I think. Apparently there are over 100 hours of strolling play plus endless matches against other people from all over the world. So I think this game will be rather adjusting. I can't wait!

Chuck Norris Is The Man

31 Little Known Facts About Chuck Norris

1. Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried.

2. A man once asked Chuck Norris if his real name was "Charles". Chuck Norris did not respond, he simply stared at him until he exploded.

3. Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter he grew a beard.

4. Chuck Norris built a time machine and went back in time to stop the JFK assassination. As Oswald shot, Chuck met all three bullets with his beard, deflecting them. JFK's head exploded out of sheer amazement.

5. The original theme song to the Transformers was actually "Chuck Norris--more that meet the eye, Chuck Norris--robot in disguise," and starred Chuck Norris as a Texas Ranger who defended the earth from drug-dealing Decepticons and could turn into a pick-up. This was far too much awesome for a single show, however, so it was divided.

6. Chuck Norris was the fourth Wiseman. He brought baby Jesus the gift of "beard". Jesus wore it proudly until his dying day. The other Wisemen, jealous of Jesus' obvious gift favoritism, used their combined influence to have Chuck omitted from the Bible. Shortly thereafter all three died of roundhouse kick related deaths.

7. Chuck Norris once shot a German plane down with his finger, by yelling "Bang!"

8. When Chuck Norris plays Oregon Trail, his family does not die from cholera or dysentery, but rather roundhouse kicks to the face. He also requires no wagon, since he carries the oxen, axels, and buffalo meat on his back. He always makes it to Oregon before you.

9. Chuck Norris can make a woman climax by simply pointing at her and saying "booya!"

10. Before each filming of Walker: Texas Ranger, Chuck Norris is injected with five times the lethal dose of elephant tranquilizer. This is, of course, to limit his strength and mobility, in an attempt to lower the fatality rate of the actors he fights.

11. Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits.

12. When Chuck Norris' wife burned the turkey one Thanksgiving, Chuck said, "Don't worry about it honey," and went into the backyard. He came back five minutes later with a live turkey, ate it whole, and when he threw it up a few seconds later it was fully cooked and came with cranberry sauce. When his wife asked him how he had done it, he gave her a roundhouse kick to the face and said, "Never question Chuck Norris."

13. Chuck Norris took my virginity, and he will sure as hell take yours. If you're thinking to yourself, "That's impossible, I already lost my virginity," then you are dead wrong.

14. Chuck Norris is currently suing NBC, claiming Law and Order are trademarked names for his left and right legs.

15. Chuck Norris once tried to sue Burger King after they refused to put razor wire in his Whopper, Jr., insisting that that actually is "his" way.

16. Chuck Norris once roundhouse kicked someone so hard that his foot broke the speed of light, went back in time, and killed Amelia Earhart while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean.

17.Chuck Norris does not have AIDS but he gives it to people anyway.

18. Chuck Norris has yet to get a Jeopardy question wrong. Jesus has missed two.

19. Chuck Norris sold his soul to the devil for his rugged good looks and unparalleled martial arts ability. Shortly after the transaction was finalized, Chuck roundhouse kicked the devil in the face and took his soul back. The devil, who appreciates irony, couldn't stay mad and admitted he should have seen it coming. They now play poker every second Wednesday of the month.

20. Chuck Norris's girlfriend once asked him how much wood a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. He then shouted, "HOW DARE YOU RHYME IN THE PRESENCE OF CHUCK NORRIS!" and ripped out her throat. Holding his girlfriend's bloody throat in his hand he bellowed, "Don't fuck with Chuck!" Two years and five months later he realized the irony of this statement and laughed so hard that anyone within a hundred mile radius of the blast went deaf.

21. Chuck Norris recently had the idea to sell his urine as a canned beverage. We know this beverage as Red Bull.

22. To prove it isn't that big of a deal to beat cancer. Chuck Norris smoked 15 cartons of cigarettes a day for 2 years and aquired 7 different kinds of cancer only to rid them from his body by flexing for 30 minutes. Beat that, Lance Armstrong.

23. The chief export of Chuck Norris is pain. After much debate, President Truman decided to drop the atomic bomb on Hiroshima rather than the alternative of sending Chuck Norris. His reasoning? It was more "humane".

24. If you can see Chuck Norris, he can see you. If you can't see Chuck Norris you may be only seconds away from death.

25. Chuck Norris found out about Conan O'Brien's lever that shows clips from "Walker: Texas Ranger" and is working on a way to make it show clips of Norris having sex with Conan's wife.

26. Chuck Norris once went to a frat party, and proceeded to roundhouse every popped collar in sight. He then drank three kegs and shit on their floor, just because he's Chuck Norris.

27. One of the greatest cover-ups of the last century was the fact that Hitler did not commit suicide in his bunker, but was in fact tea-bagged to death by Chuck Norris.

28. At the end of each week, Chuck Norris murders a dozen white people just to prove he isn't a racist.

29. Chuck Norris punched a woman in the vagina when she didn't give him exact change.

30. Hellen Keller's favorite color is Chuck Norris.

31. Chuck Norris once pulled a bus full of school children teetering over the edge of a cliff back onto the road with his bare hands, saving everybody inside. Even as they cheered, he screamed, "I'm not your savior!" and headbutted the bus over the edge, sending them all to their horrible doom.

Relaxing Day

As I sit here listening to celebrity Poker showdown, it is snowing oh so lightly outside and a fire is burning warmly a scant 3 feet away. Don't worry, it is in a fireplace. It's actually a nice change of pace because to tell you the truth, for the last two weeks it seems like I've been extremely busy. I suppose I could read through the last two weeks of posts and see, but to tell you the truth, I don't read my posts. (No one else does, why should I?) Heh. (

So anywho, X-mas is bearing down and I do have a Wish List of things. And as nothing else is really going on today, I figured I'd list them.
  • More Teaching Shirts
  • Some more jeans
  • Maybe a Hawaiian Shirt or two
  • Guild Wars
  • Palm Pilot Goodies
  • Winning $1,000,000 in a raffle

I want to see King Kong, but I can't today because my car is being serviced. The stupid windshield wiper keeps falling off the window. Which isn't a big deal... Except when its raining, snowy, foggy, or any other sort of condition that causes the windshield to be wet. Plus I need the coolant flushed because who knows when the last time my grandfather had that done with the car.

In other news, I learned yesterday that there will be another improv jam in the future. I didn't mention the complete list of groups that participated in the jam on Tuesday. I shall now:

Learning CAN Be Fun!

Teaching Today

So the last two days I've been in the same school but in two different grades. On Tuesday I subbed in a 4th grade and today I subbed in a 5th grade. Both grades were quite nice and as I know both of the teachers, it was a bit more of a relaxing experience. Also, all of the kids in both rooms knew me from this year or last year so they knew exactly what to expect from me.

Nevertheless I had a few rabble rowsers who felt that they could squeeze an inch in on me. Well they were sorely mistaken. Each room had someone who was trying to be the joker and tried to be the one who would give the sub a hard time. I'm not sure if they've had subs before who just politely asked them to stop the entire day. For me, I stop asking nicely after the 3rd time. After that... I get into their face and ask them very nicely. And if that doesn't do the job, a pretty much bitch the person out until they sit down. (And then after that I just boot hem to the office) It sounds mean, but I'm not going to let the actions of one student dictate what I am going to be doing in class.

Improv Section

Last night we had a big rehearsal with several groups. It was a good time. I was actually quite pleased with my group. We came off as extremely polished and we demostrated some very good improv skills. It was awesome. The whole thing was organized by Rick Horner of Zombie Shark. He is a big fan of our work, I was more than happy to participate in his workshop rehearsal thingy.

Tonight

Tonight I'm heading over to my friend's house to help him with some study skills. He's going to be getting a master's degree and as I am a teacher, he asked me to come over and give some pointers in studying. I was more than happy to say sure. He's a good friend and he helps with my computer issues.

Busy Weekend, Busy Monday

Saturday

That day was pretty boring the morning. Pretty much I spent the morning finishing up my X-mas cards and organizing them so I can send them out on Monday. Once that major task was done, I got my act together for the show at Grape Street. (Which I mentioned in the last post) The show as great! The N Crowd was on, Rare Bird was awesome, and Industrial Improv was great! The 'rents came and they enjoyed the show immensely. And they enjoyed the new people as well.. as they did kick ass. I did a great Ding with Kristen and an awesome Typewriter scene too.

After the show, I hung out with Jess, Kennedy, and Natalie at Grape Street. As well with Alexis, Mike from Industrial Improv, and some others.

Around midnight I went to a nightclub named Denim. At first I was a bit irritated by the fact that there was a $20 cover because, well obviously I'm not the fella who likes to shell out $20 on anything. And inside the place was packed. I mean, like 350 people. But eventually I hooked up with Akshay and his pals. (It took me 20 minutes to find them.) And am I ever so glad that I did. They were buying Gray Goose bottles from the bar at $400 a pop! I mean. Whoa! I couldn't even imagine spending that much money on one bottle of liquor. Geez. Granted, I spent $600 on my birthday party in April, but that was 8 people over 6 hours. Nevertheless, it was a great time. I didn't know a lot of people there, but it was fun to hang out with Akshay. Plus I got to see Rupal, Akshay's Ex. (She was looking FINE!) I don't know how I am able to always have the hottest friends. Probably because I am adorable. Anywho... We rolled in at Akshay's pad at around 3:00 a.m.

Sunday

So on Sunday, we had an N Crowd workshop with Alexis. It was awesome, as always. Like I said, she is one talented gal. We did a lot of exercises and practice a lot with statuses. A status is sorta like if someone is high society or if someone is a bum. Often I play a high status person, so I am working on trying to play low status. Plus I talk a lot in scenes so I work on trying to say less and do more. I rely on my wit to be funny. I can be funny on my wit and expressions.

That night, we performed at the Melange Theater Live. It was a good time. There were a lot of fairly talented singers and dancers there. Obviously some were better than others, but most were good. I think the highlight of the night was an amazing 11 year old girl named Bianca Rayan who could belt out tunes. I wouldn't be surprised if she got a record deal in the next year or two and start making more money then I can ever dream of. The other highlight was a drunk guy getting thrown out of the place.

The N Crowd did two 10 minute set of games. We gave them a little taste of Improv and hopefully they will come back and see a full 90 minute show. We will be back in January and February.

So after all of that, I finally came home at 11 p.m., showered for the first time in 48 hours and went to bed. Whew. It was a lonnnnnng day.

Monday

Monday I slept in, still a bit beat from the last two days of improving and partying. And then I went out X-mas shopping and other X-mas type things.
  • Bought stamps
  • Sent out X-mas Cards
  • Bought fun stuff for a few people
  • Bought Dad's gift
  • Bought Jer's Gift

So... that was the last few days. The next two days are going to be pretty busy with teaching and some more X-mas shopping. I gotta figure out what to buy my mother.

Hmmm.....

Whew

Where the hell have I been? Well I left Saturday morning for Philly and didn't get back until Sunday night. So... yea... Been busy.

But. I'll have a good post later.

Guess what!

It actually did snow!

Bout 6 inches. Suppose to show another hour or two.

Then I have to shovel...

Craaap.

Thursday, December 08, 2005

Last Work Day Of The Week

Assuming if the snow comes.

According to Channel 10 and others, we should get around 6 inches in the area. And even better, they are saying that the heaviest snow should come during 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. And that's when the school buses are out. So chances are there might be a delayed opening or even some cancellations. Although at the moment, I'm not scheduled to work, but if I get a call later.... It might not matter cause school might be canceled tomorrow.

This is what Glen says:

While I won't exactly say where I live, I'm definitely not in Jersey. I'll see how much snow I'll get in the morning. Maybe I'll wake up early to see the snow fall.

I don't know whether it was my time up in Edinboro, in Erie's snowbelt, or something else... But I really like watching it snow. Just something very peaceful to me. And something neat to watch snow accumulate. It's suppose to snow 1 or 2 inches an hour, so that should be something rather impressive.

I was going to go and see a movie tonight, The Chronicles of Narnia. The first showing of the movie is at midnight tonight. But... be it should start snowing at around 1 a.m. and I don't like watching movies in huge crowds... I think I'll just wait. Maybe I'll see it tomorrow night. the snow should be all said and done by noon. Maybe Ill see it then... hmm....

So this weekend, after the snowstorm, we have two N Crowd shows. The first one will be at the famous, Grape Street Pub in Manyunk and the other one will be at the Melange theater.

The Grape Street show is going to be awesome. Two other groups are going to be there and in my opinion, the three of us are the best improv groups in Philadelphia. Each group is doing a 30 minute set. It should be great! Just in case you wanted to check out our websites:

The N Crowd
Industrial Improv
The Rare Bird Show

The second show on Sunday is at the Melange Theater. We are doing two 10 minute segments. So that means like a game or two. That should be fun too and hopefully we'll get some more names for our mailing list.

Well that's about it for me. Hope all 2 of you who read this are doing well. Heh.

Snow... Again?

So apparently it's suppose to snow again tomorrow night. Now the last time I heard this, earlier in the week, I bought it. However, this time they seemed a bit more serious then they were last night. Take these maps.

So you can see that they are expecting 3 to 6 inches of snow to start sometime after 1 a.m. Will it snow? Will school be canceled??? Will I be able to see Narnia at midnight on Thursday!

Time will tell!

Man today was borning :)

Long Distance Post

Well... when I mean long distance, I guess I kind of mean outside the realms of my home. As I type this I am listening to the soft jazz and quiet conversations of Tuscany Cafe' on Rittenhouse Square in Philly.

I'm waiting for about 45 minutes to go to my rehearshal for The N Crowd. (Cheap Plug) They have great sandwhiches here and wouldn't you know it? An internet connection. Generally speaking I leave my lappy at home, but I have a new N Crowd Video nearly completion and wanted to show everyone. And as I've got time to kill... I figured I would post. Although, who really reads this anyways?

Today I subbed once again within the fine walls of a Middle School. I actually a funny moment. There were a group of 4 girls giggling in the front row and I asked them what was funny. The four of them asked if I could dance like a Leperchaun. (Because of my red hair and what not.) I kind of put a rather displeased look on my face in which they said watchout the leperchaun is unhappy. My response:

"No I'm not unhappy. I'm very happy." I did an Irish Jig infront of the room and sang with a decent Irish accent, "Ohhhhhh..... I'm very happy you can see! I'm as Irish as Irish can be! I'm so glad you said Leperchaun to help oooooouuuutttt! Now you four girls can go to Time OUT!"

I immediately threw them out of the room and I believe they each go a 1 day suspension for disrespecting a teacher. Funny how word travels in a school. As that happened in 1st period... by 3rd period... everyone was very quiet and tried very hard to stay on my good side.

Ahhh... I love subbing.

Heh.

Snow Shmow

It didn't snow.

And the Eagles didn't win.

Sigh.

Oh Hum For Snow

I'm not exactly impressed with this snow storm. I think it's going to be more of a bust then anything else. Granded, they said it would start by 7... but I just don't think it's going to amount to anything. We shall see what tomorrow brings. I think we are just going to get a dusting.

Work went well today. It was a rather easy day. I've got to think what I'm doing for X-mas gifts for people. Hmmm... I need to get on that. Any suggestions?

Heh.

Anyone read this anyways?

SnowI Is Coming

According to the weather websites they are calling for 3 to 5 inches of snow tomorrow night. But I am thinking it will only snow 2 or 3 inches. But we shall see.

The workshop today was great! I had such a great time. Alexis is really amazing and I think the workshop will really help the people who could use a bit of help. It always helps to have another point of view on something. I'm looking forward to next week's workshop.

It Did Snow!

It looks very nice outside. I would say that there is about 2 inches outside. Nothing that should interfere with my travels today, but enough to cover the ground and to say that winter is here. Actually last year it didn't snow last year until X-mas Eve, and even then it was just a dusting. This time, we got our dusting on Thanksgiving and then got our first show a week later.

Now for this week..... this is what Accuweather says...

Wintry weather will take another swipe at the Eastern Seaboard early next week, and it may do so in a big way. Monday, low pressure along a sharp cold front will ripple northeast from Louisiana, reaching Georgia and South Carolina late in the day, then waters off New England Tuesday. As its rain spreads northeastward, they will encounter air cold enough for snow beginning along the southern Appalachian Highlands. The leading edge of snow will reach the mid-Atlantic states Monday before spreading throughout the northern Atlantic Seaboard Monday night and Tuesday. Details of how far north and west the storm's substantial moisture will reach are not yet settled. If much of the storm's potential is realized, a band of 3 to 6 inches of snow will be laid down in a corridor linking the major East Coast cities. Visit with us at AccuWeather.com Headlines, as we will be updating on this storm as its path and intensity take on better clarity.

More Snowy

So it's suppose to snow tonight again. Sure it snowed for Thanksgiving but it was pretty much gone by 9 a.m. Tonight however it should last a bit longer because instead of a dusting, we are suppose to get 2 inches of snow. So I am looking forward to that.

Tomorrow I am heading into Philadelphia and doing a improv workshop. It should be alot of fun because the person running the workshop is a very talented performer. Her name is Alexis Simpson of The Rare Bird Show. I can't wait. I'm just glad that the snow is coming tonight and not later.

Speaking of later.... There is a chance of "Significant Snowfall" later this week....

The Weekend

Yesterday was a pretty fun day. I got to teach the little ones at a elementary school yesterday. I actually get to sub a lot there so there are many classes in there that recognize me from this year and last year. So it's always fun to go there. And actually yesterday was a pretty good day. I only had two kids cry.

  • One cried because she couldn't have the "Shiny" scissors
  • And another cried because the other one wanted to have the shiny scissors and thought the girl was bossing her around.

But fortunately the crisis was averted and all the tears were stopped. Whew. They are pretty adorable and I had fun teaching them.

Last night I went out and saw Aeon Flux, the movie based from the MTV cartoon. It actually was pretty good. It is not going to win any academy awards, but I thought it was decent. Charlize Therone was pretty hot in it. I guess I'm just attracted to gun toting women. Go figure. I went and saw the movie was my good friend Chester. He's actually going back to college and I'm going to help him with some study skills. Maybe he'll treat me to a few movies as payment. Heh.

Well today I plan on putting a dent in my X-mas cards. Hopefully I won't get distracted or bored with it so I can get it done.

The Middle School Isn't So Bad...

So I do enjoy teaching at the middle school. But only at one of the schools districts I work for. The other ones are a bit intense. Just way to much attitude for me. I really don't have the training to teach students that old, but I can usually handle it in this school. I guess the students are either just nicer or more fearful of teachers. Either way it's a nice job.

Also it was nice today because I only taught maybe half the day. The rest of the day it was one on one tutoring or just monitoring students as they came him, had a quiet place to work on stuff, and left. I spent most of the day on the school computer reading news on CNN.

In other news, we found out that The N Crowd is returning to the Society Hill Playhouse in January. Hopefully we'll come back and hit the scene running. More on that I suppose later.

Cry All You Want. It Don't Bother Me

Yes, I didn't post yesterday. I was kind of tired.

Yesterday was alright, although I did have a few criers in class yesterday. One cried because she thought someone had given her a dirty look, another cried because he broke his pencil, and the last one cried because I tossed her out of class.

Actually yesterday was the only the second time I tossed a student all the way to the principal's office. She was completely out of control. And oddly enough, the prinicpal asked me "Why did you send her down?" My response was "Didn't you see her screaming and yelling down the hallway." Even the students were asking me whether or not she was on her meds.

What a weird day.

Today I'm teaching 7th grade math. That should be okay because usually they just give me busy work to do on those days.

Well I've got to get dressed...and ready. Wish me luck!
