Busy Ass

That is what I have been. A busy ass.

This Last Week....

I have been quite busy doing Improv and teaching.

The Teaching

Has been uneventful but very busy. Pretty much I work everyday in the library. Doing what? Basically teaching kids how to use to use the encyclopedias for research purposes. With the young ones I am doing riddles with them and teaching them how to write their own. It's pretty fun. Probably the hardest part about the job is shelving books. Not so much that I don't know where books go, its just a rush to get the books back on the shelves before they begin to pile up.

All in all it is alot like subbing. I get to see a bunch of people in one day. The added bonus is that kids really smile when they are getting a new book.

The Improv

The N Crowd is going quite well. Last Monday we were in the Philadelphia Daily News with two pictures and this Monday there will be an article about us in Out and About Magazine. We are going to be having a show this week, but after this week we'll be back with another 2 months of shows. And THEN in July we will be in Philadelphia Style Magazine. Something I am really looking forward too.

Lets hope that we'll still have a place to perform when that article comes out.

Busy Week

I know that I haven't really posted in the last week. Things have been pretty busy.

Easter

So I went up to my grandmothers for Easter with the family. It was a very relaxing time. I spent about 4 days about there doing.... nothing! Actually, I did do a few things. I spent alot of time writing. I wrote another 2 chapters in my fourth book. So that was pretty productive. And I ate alot of food, which was great.

The Librarian

I started my gig as a long term sub this week. It went pretty well. I didn't loose any books and only had a few cry on me. I'm looking forward to the next several weeks. It should be alot of fun. I've got to start coming up with my own lesson plans in the next couple weeks so I can start teaching for the rest of the year. It's actually not so bad... I get to see a bunch of different kids, and most of them already know me. I'm looking forward to it.

The N Crowd Turns 1

Last Thursdays we had a great show! It was our 66th appearance over the last 12 months. We did a great set of games and had a huge crowd. I believe there were about 40 people there. Overall... it was a great night. I just hope the SHP will decide to keep us.

Well that's about it for me... I'll try to write more at a later date.

Birthday Gift

So guess what I got for my birthday?

Yep! I got myself a new camera. It's pretty sweet, not to mention pretty small and handy! Hopefully I'll be taking a whole bunch of pictures and be posting them in the week to come. We shall see. Some things are better photo opts then others.

In other news, I'm heading to the Erie area this weekend to visit my grandmother for Easter. The entire family is coming. So after Friday, I might not post all that much until next week.

This week's N Crowd show should be a good one. We've got Holmes/Maughan playing with us. I'm hoping that a decent amount of people will start their Easter Break early AND come out to see us.

Then... NEXT week... Will be the N Crowd 1 Year Anniversary Show! Woo! It should be a great time! I am really looking forward to it. Hopefully.... we will have a few special guests.. AS well.

Yawnnn...

Last night was a blast! I had a great time at the Grape Street Pub and a great time afterwards.

I got there around 6:30 yesterday to see The Ninjas, Industrial Improv, and Milk Milk McGinty. After having a great Turkey Wrap, I was treated to their wonderful comedy. Afterwards, Jess, Mike, Akshay, Brandon, Erin, Erin's husband, McFarland, and his buddy all went to Fado's at 15th and Loctus. There we met Kristen and drank.

We had rum and cokes, Irish car bombs, shots of all sorts. Around 12ish we left the bar and took a cab back to Brandon and Mike's apartment. There we drank some more.

It was great.

There really isn't a whole lot of good stories from the night. There was no big adventure. Rather it was just a nice time with friends.

And now... a picture of Haley's Baby!

Birthday Weekend

Although my birthday is on Monday, I am celebrating it tonight with my N Crowd buddies. Industrial Improv is performing tonight, so I am heading on down to see them at the Grape Street Pub. It will be a good time. Alot of my friends and associates will be down there to see the show. So, it really is the perfect time to celebrate it. Bradon's birthday is on Tuesday, so it is a double birthday weekend.

I'm looking forward to it.

My friend Haley sent me some baby pictures! I will probably post a few of those later. I can't wait to go down and see here in July. Woo hoo.

Well... I guess I should get my act together. I want to get down there at a decent time so I am not standing in the back during the show.

Yawwwnnn....

Man am I tired this week.

Finally sent out my manuscript to the agent in New York. If all goes well, in 3 or 4 week I should hear back from him. If I hear back from him like, next Monday, then he obviously didn't go through it and I wasted $10. So we shall see.

Improv is going pretty well. Got a show tomorrow with The Throng. We need to make this month good in order to be back in May. I hope they bring some peeps.

I have been working ALOT this week. In fact I'm working 5 days this week. Whew. It's been busy!

Other then that, not too much going on. Just plugging along.

The high of the wonderful night of improv on Saturday night has been crushed. Sigh. Not that I want to get into it because it’s not my place to say. All I’m going to say is in order to be the best you’ve got to put up with the worst. Although Ray did tell me last night as I watched Triple H tap out to John Cena, “You’ve got it easy B.J. Everyone likes you for the most part and you like everyone else. You’re easy going, passionate about what you do, and always come off as being fair.”

I guess that’s why I just don’t understand things…

In Other News

The Philadelphia Style Magazine is doing an article about the N Crowd. I just hope we can hang on to Society Hill Playhouse long enough for the article to come out. If not, I will burn the place down.

And…

At the moment there is someone in New York looking at the first 70 pages of The Thomas Chronicles.

I’m not expecting a royalty cut any time soon, so don’t be e-mailing me pretending to be my friend just because you want a buck or two. Wait until I make a million bucks.

A Great Few Days

Tonight and the last few days have been great!

BABY BABY BABY!

My friend Haley had a baby! I am practically an Uncle! Because she is practically my sister. Both mother and child are doing very well and I am looking forward to seeing them in July. I got the call literally... hours after she was born. Thats why I love Haley so much, the fact that she called me so soon after the most important event in her life.

I'm just glad she didn't call during conception.

The N Crowd Rocks Pottstown!

So tonight we had a show way out here in Pottstown. Instead of me driving 70 minutes to go and do a show, everyone came out here and did a show! The entire gang, minus Akshay who had to be in Boston for work related stuff, came here at 5 p.m. for pizza. We had a good time, chowed down, and headed over to the college around 7ish. Then at 8 p.m, we had our N Crowd show. And let me tell you... EVERYONE was on tonight. EVERYONE was funny. And EVERYONE killed. A large portion of the audience was my family and a few friends from the area, so everyone cheered each time I go on stage. It was a little embarrassing but, still very fun.

Overall, it was a great show. And it was great that everyone could drive out here to do the show.

(Plus we made a few bucks.)
